Marc Jacobs Demands $10m Salary, Puts Negotiations With Christian Dior on Hold
Following the exit of Dior’s head designer John Galliano, Dior looked to Marc Jacobs to fill in the position. But it seems like Jacobs’ high salary demands have put negotiations on hold.
Jacobs, 48, is demanding a $10 million salary from Dior, reason being he would have to add two couture collections to his work. His current workload include his Marc Jacobs and Marc by Marc Jacobs lines, as well as Dior’s main line, which altogether totals 22 collections a year - an amount that is currently only rivaled by Chanel’s Karl Lagerfeld.
